If you are looking for a relaxing game that still involves incredible violence, building capabilities, multiplayer functionality, and crafting; then go play 7 Days to Die. Wether you play alone on your own server, invite friends, or on someone else’s sever for a challenge. 7 Days to Die is an apocalyptic themed game with zombies, Minecraft style building, but without losing the gore and mostly realistic appeal of killing those living dead creatures of the night. I can speak from firsthand experience, shooting zombies in this game is extremely satisfying compared to other games. If you do play, I highly recommend the shotgun.
What is 7 Days to Die?
The premise of 7 Days is to live through the seventh day. The catch?Zombies get bigger, stronger, strategic, and in larger hoards. Most players plan for this by building a 7th day base and defending it through the night. For the most part the zombies do not run during the day which makes them easier to kill (kind of).
After each 7th day you will find a restock of your supplies is necessary. Ammo goes faster than you think, and if you are smart, you will learn how to make ammo or stock up on tokens (7 days money) by taking on missions from various traders or collecting treasures.
we’re going shopping
The traders in 7 days have unique personalities but do not expect endless dialogue. Traders offer unique options to purchase such as food, clothing, armor, tools, bike parts, and so much more. Restoking of the trader’s merchandise does happen frequently to make sure you are able to buy more than just a stack of 9mm ammo. Using the traders to purchase items is recommended as some items take a lot of resources to craft.
Best material for a base
Iron rebar reinforced cement is the best! At least that is the route I usually take because it helps when you have multiple layers. Do not get your hopes up though, you cannot just lock yourself up in a box and survive every 7th day. The zombies are strong and not complete idiots. They can break even the strongest blocks with enough of them.
How do I defend all my goodies?
Traps. 7 Days to Die offers multiple trap options and you can always get a little creative since the world is able to be dug up. Yes, spinning blades, speeding darts, spikes, mines, and more! Go kill a bunch of zombies till your heart’s content. Personally, the spinning metal blades, and electrical fences have been found to be a great combination. Stun the zombies on top of the blade to do more damage.
All the loot!
The best part about 7 days is all the little things you can take like the little hoarder you are! The various loot is not useless though. Even tin cans, glue, and broken glass serve a purpose. The creators of 7 Days also understand the average gamer’s needs. We need to be rewarded for being creative or curious. Being creative gets you achievements and being curious gets you some excellent loot. Decide to parkour to the top of a giant building? Find an AK-47 and a steak and potatoes recipe. No really, steak and potatoes are the delicious and excellent for regenerating your health and food!
Warmaiden rating
9/10 – Better graphics and it’s a home run!
In the end, this game is insanely entertaining, and it just had a new version released with new items and enhanced zombie’s features.
